Well, that's why I wonder if it was logical, Pacallino with AJ 😀

Now that I read your answer, I wondered. After reading your arguments, it is clear why you are folding, according to your arguments it is a good fold. But let's say anyway, we're speculating here, like for example you say he won't bet in the bfd tournament anymore and I say he will 😀 It's a fact that it depends on the opo and how he thinks. But if you haven't seen him play in such spots or you don't have enough hh with him, it's really hard to make an accurate decision, because those arguments about his game are so unfounded I think. (i.e. I say bfd bets, you say no. And realistically we don't know, unless we have notes of some kind). So maybe we should play this spot by sizing then? I.e. if we bet 2/3 then we have to defend about 60% rank, which we bring from the flop. (There was a video on flop defence, so I suggest we play the same principle in the tournament.) Then it's just a matter of calculating whether or not to defend AQ in this spot 🙂

I agree that J is a better card for us and it should be harder for him to force a bfd, but is it enough for us to be able to throw those hands out of his hand?

I would quite like to 3bet pre and fold to 4bet when sb raises, I don't know if this would be a good place to squeeze with this hand? AQoff I think it's definitely a squeeze. If you say regas, then is UTG opens A2s+, suited broadways, 98s+ , 44+ similar range. I'm thinking this flop he's cbetting here with Ax, Sets , two pair, suited broadways, maybe a hand like T9s which has bfd as there are a lot of good turn cards and a favourable flop to cbet. And hands like Jx, 55-TT, QQ-KK should go in the ch/back range. It's when the turn turns on J and he makes a sizing like that, it's like a hand like AK, maybe 44, and suited broadways hitting bfd on the turn. For hands like AA,AJ,JJ I don't think so, because there is not much value to be gained with them here, so I would probably either slowplay or at least put a lower beta. So I think I would call in the tournament, just because you can semi-bluff with suited broadways, there is a small chance that you also have a hand like AQ and splitinat. That's my thinking on this spot, I don't know how many straight ones are in here, what do you think?

Its interesting and for the value of the bet river (opas KQ of harts showed). With him, after such a wet flop call I think we can throw sets 77/99 and there is no KK anyway. So if we ch the turn, we give him a chance with a draw stabbint and shovinam we put him in a bad position how do you think? But then it's kind of a guessing game as to whether he bets draw or ch/backins. I wonder for sure which is better 😀

Flope has a bottom pair. So you're saying it's worth betting on the protection flop?

Jasna, I don't know what I'm looking at in those ranks. And are there any guidelines on, say, when to call a river, or what are the key things to consider before calling?

    Preflop that missclickinau. Sure.

I think you're right, it's hard to find something to beat besides KQs when you look at the hand now, and it's even more questionable whether you'd win a tournament with him.

I remember this hand before me 😀 I remember this hand, it was a couple of days ago I think, I was a bit silent here 😀 But I think it's a good call, like you say I only had QJ and 22 plus you both 22 blockini and QJ. Anyway, on the river with QJ I would have folded anyway, but of course I didn't count the bet of the turn, I should have bet more there then a normal sizing on river. But I think either way call here 🙂

I'd play 1/3 of the pot, value betting doesn't make sense, but you can protect against hands that have 20-30% equity against you.

The turn donk is only 3 hands in which he has not made a single donk. But if Brick turns, say off a three, and he fires, do you fold the river anyway?

Now that I've had a look at it and thought about the hand, I'm thinking that I still need to foldint. As you say both pre, flop and turn sizing are big. Another thing is what hands can he bluff with here? And against his value range, only the hand really saves us.

What do you think about flop cbet? is it necessary or maybe ch/call?
