Lithuanians in the virtual WSOP arena have already won more than 1 million USD!

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic that paralyzed the world, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) moved to the online space. From the very beginning of the series, Lithuanians experienced great success – a gold bracelet, six-figure winnings, and numerous final tables.

The greatest success so far has smiled upon Vladas Burneikis, who at the beginning of August became the first Lithuanian to win a gold bracelet and earn the WSOP champion title. In the WSOP #49 $500 DeepStack Turbo tournament, he scooped an impressive $200 thousand cash prize.

Meanwhile, Arūnas Sapitavičius came very close to the winner's title. In the WSOP #41 $400 Colossus tournament, the Lithuanian led in chip count for a long time, but in the final stage of the tournament, his luck waned a bit and he finished in 5th place. For his 5th place finish, Arūnas earned a $156 thousand prize. Over 12 thousand players participated in this tournament.
