Aha, I'm confused about the terms:) Not gut-shot, backdoor flush:)

Since the flop was more suited to your BB range than the aggressors + you had a gut-shot flush and overpairs, it seems to me that a check-raise on the flop, or at least a small donk, is a much stronger line.

Since I get an error message when commenting on a video, I've created a thread here:) Let's talk about the new school partners' platform for betting on poker tournament players.
The only valid strategy that comes to mind is to bet on tournaments played by the stables, as almost all the schools provide cumulative plus schedules. And that requires...[Read more]

What mistakes have been made here? In general, shouldn't you choose the tripple barrel line when you have ulcers?
Was it necessary to shove on the river from the way the game was played? Or is it just an x/fold to save some stack for the rest of the tournament, since this is the very beginning?

SB sat 5x the original starting head owner with 1.3 blinds. My shot is good because it doesn't let more people into the pot, and 26BB with the original raiser is ok with that hand?

9:34 - Since you mentioned that the initial raiser is an agro player, could it be that the other 13BB will be more light? And when you cover the initial raiser, don't you have to shove AJ in the progressive round? Or was your stack just relatively small too? Would you have overshot if you had 55BB?

With more than half of your stack + the ops double covering you, I'd be happy with that too.

Had fun meeting some of the targets :)) Seriously, your determination, even in the form of a sketch, to set goals is inspiring. I myself am now getting back into a more intense game, so I'm concentrating on consistency, mindset and timing for 20+ tournaments/sav and + learning at the pace of video lessons and forum activity at school.

This is not a donko flop in the line I wrote. I was writing about the flop check/call and the turn check/check line. In that case, there is still a chance that op, with a minimum showdown value, will still pay us because he can imply that we are trying to knock him out with air.
I agree with your line choice if you get a check-back from the oppo flop. Then bet the turn and check...[Read more]

First of all, "Fold to flop Cbet" doesn't tell you anything, because you are not cbetting here, you are donking, and cbetting is a continuous bet where you are the initial aggressor, e.g. his bet would be a cbet on the flop.
I wouldn't flop again (I wouldn't call) because the flop was more in his range than yours, so I'd go with a check/call line, a turn check - if a big bet, then fold,...[Read more]
