The “Poker School” camp near Trakai was extremely successful, and the players were satisfied. We continue to share feedback and stories from the camp participants—without embellishments, just as they were.
Here is Aras, a 23-year-old student playing NL10 cash games. He has been actively playing poker since December. So, how did Aras end up at the camp?
“I am an old member of the Poker School, and that's where I learned about the camp. I thought a lot about whether I could afford it, but now I definitely don't regret investing such money, which is really significant for me as a student,” he said.
The student, who received praise from the coaches, seemed genuinely interested in learning as much as possible, so his response to the question about information delivery and workload was not surprising.
“I would say the information was presented a bit too slowly, sometimes the lessons are slightly delayed because someone goes to the bathroom or something like that. I could personally handle more information,” he shared his thoughts.
You can read more about Aras's impressions on our forum, where he writes his own blog.
“I have calculated that for me, as a student, it would be enough to move up to NL20, and that would almost be enough to meet my student needs. Until September, I will invest a lot of time and hope to make significant progress. Already in these three days (the interview was conducted in the middle of the camp – ed.) I have achieved as much as I hadn't since December when I started playing more actively. So the plan is to invest more time. Like many, I dream of going somewhere, playing live with people, and that's it. I don't plan to become a professional poker player,” these are his goals.
However, the investment was substantial. So why did he decide to do it?
“Now poker is like a hobby for me. It's really cool to have a hobby that can earn you money. Plus, there are no limits to improvement in poker, and a hobby should be something where you can always improve and climb higher,” our interlocutor and participant shared.
