Poker today is not the reality it used to be. Well, or at least the way the cinema presents it.

A computer, an extra monitor and hours spent at home or anywhere else are the order of the day. Poker is played much less frequently in real life, but in the past it was not even possible to play it otherwise.

So PokerioMokykla.com offers you a break and a glimpse into the somewhat idealised, high-society and crime-ridden face of poker. Serious uncles at the tables, pulling cigars and drinking whiskey and holding a gun.

"PokerSchool.com provides you with a list of recommended films to watch that are in some way related to poker, betting or casinos.

Here's the third instalment of poker-related film offers.

Part I

Part II

Win It All (2017)

IMDb rating: 6.4.

Netflix's latest and much-hyped poker movie. The plot revolves around a man who is asked to keep a large bag of money. However, the money ends up in the wrong hands, as the protagonist is a gambler.

It doesn't take long for some of the money to be "borrowed". And it's not always easy to pay it back.

"Win It All is a well-received film in the poker community, with situations that reflect a common reality. Many people who have seen the film say that they have been in the situations depicted in the film, and we recommend that everyone watch it.

Ocean's 11 (2001)

IMDb rating: 7.8.

If not seen, then at least certainly known to many, this is the film about 11 people trying to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously.

The plan is many many many many millions of dollars, but it's not that simple, as similar attempts to rob casinos have ended in disaster.

The cast of this film includes George Clooney and Brad Pitt in their youth. And even though the film is now 16 years old, it is still going strong. It is a true classic and critically acclaimed.

It is a light and highly entertaining film, worth every minute of your time.

Ocean's 12 (2004)

IMDb rating: 6.5.

What happens when you have a pile of money but someone wants it back and you are wanted all over America? Yes, you go to Europe. That's what the old team does in the sequel to Ocean's 11.

The same actors with a new team member and another attempt to make a buck, this time by stealing in Europe.

This is a film for those who enjoyed the first part and want to see the continuation of the story. Although not as popular as the first part, it is an attention-grabbing film worthy of a cosy Sunday evening.

Ocean's 13 (2007)

IMDb rating: 6.9.

Part 3, joined by Al Pacino. This time, the group's aim is not to make a profit, but simply to get revenge. It turns out that revenge can be fun, too, as the action takes place in a newly opened hotel-casino.

If you've seen the previous instalments, you probably won't miss this one.

Casino Royale (2006)

IMDb rating: 6.9.

A James Bond classic. The film has won numerous awards. A real dessert for those who love action and secret agent 007 films.

007's goal is to win in high-stakes poker. To do so, he is funded and travels with another agent to participate in a game in Montenegro.

However, as usual, things don't go according to plan, so cards are not the only weapon used.
