Carter's anger over suspended licence

The exact reasons for the accident are not yet known, but the fact that Brent was a professional harness racer in the past is a clue. Carter had to put this career on hold in 1976 because The NYSGC suspended his licence due to allegations of fraud.

Although the fraud charges were later dropped, it seems that Brent never forgave the commission. In recent years, he has been increasingly active in trying to annoy the Gambling Commission. He sent packages of white powder to the Commission's headquarters on at least 4 occasions.

The powder was completely harmless, and Carter himself admitted that he had sent spam and was warned not to do so again. However, despite this warning, In early 2021, he sent another bag, this time with talcum powder. The FBI's patience ran out and Carter was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with a federal crime.

Faces 5 years in prison

Brent Carter, who won two WSOP bracelets in his career and had some really impressive tournament results, stopped playing in 2015. He now faces up to 5 years in prison as a result of the charges against him.

Despite the fact that enough evidence has been gathered and Carter himself admitted to sending spam in his report, claimed his innocence.
