This week, the “PartyPoker MILLIONS Russia” tournament is taking place in Sochi, Russia, where our coach Gytis Lažauninkas has performed successfully.
A total of 916 players registered for this tournament, each buying in for $5000. After registration closed, a $458,000 prize pool was formed.
Lithuanian Gytis Lažauninkas made it to the top twenty, winning $30,000. In the final hand, Gytis pushed all his chips, 16,000,000, with JJ from the under the gun position, and without hesitation, Viacheslav Zhukov pushed his 22,600,000 chips from the cutoff position with AA. All other players folded except for Oleg Netaliev, who, after some thought, called (5,300,000) with a pair of kings.
The board revealed 5-10-4-6-Q, and Zhukov knocked out two players, including the Lithuanian.
