Partypoker has blocked 94 accounts of rogue players and will refund $182K to players

Partypoker's room security team has closed 94 suspicious accounts and will refund more than $182K to players as part of an investigation into strange activities at the poker tables.

The money found in the accounts of the blocked players will be distributed to the players who have been affected by these programmed scams. $143,908.10 will be awarded to players who have played Partypoker.com, and the rest €34,546.17 Partypoker.eu players.

Catching dishonest players is part of partypoker's mission to make this site a great place to play poker. This information is based on April results only. The survey has been running for 4 months since 1 December. By April, a total of 277 accounts and $734,852 distributed to players.

Players have a role to play in this study

20 of the 94 players had their accounts closed because real players noticed the strange play and reported Partypoker security team, who took action and blocked the accounts. The poker room encourages players to continue reporting such players, and each report will be investigated.

The security team is made up of former poker professionals who have the expertise to identify players who act along certain lines and do not act like human beings. This team will continue to block players and notify players of account closures and refunds on a monthly basis.
