The role of the victim in poker

Stop. Let us not argue, I am not claiming that any of us is or is not a victim, but I just want to give a simple overview of this phenomenon. Let us reflect together in a friendly way.
victim

Without getting too deep into wordplay, the role of the victim is one in which we shift responsibility from ourselves to the outside, to circumstances. The well-known saying "it's everybody's fault but mine". We take on the role of victim when we start blaming others, looking for someone to blame, shrugging off responsibility for our actions and results, etc. Do you know people like that in your life ?? Uhhh, endless, eh ? 🙂

Let's think together about what a person who chooses the role of victim can achieve in life? What comes to mind? Do you see this person as successful and happy? Or maybe as a champion or winner? I don't either. Such a person has completely let go of his or her destiny, and most of his or her time and energy is consumed by the search for new excuses and "guilty" people or circumstances. Such a person is so caught up in this game that he cannot even see that there is another way [there is always another way].

What does this choice of role mean in poker? It is exactly the same as in life, it is a choice to lose, a choice to depend on others, to stand still (not to improve) and to look for more and more "guilty" or "unfavourable" circumstances. The same people have been telling the same badbeats for years about how their flopped queue lost to the colour bought on the river. Wow, think of my bad luck. Maybe it's time to come up with a new story 🙂

It is true that from time to time we all choose to be victims, and I am certainly no exception, but for some it is a momentary thing, while others make it a central role in their lives. (P.S that role is very, very easy to change)

To be a winner you have to consciously take responsibility for your results, for where you are now and for your actions, for where you are going. You have to choose your own winning destiny (a destiny in which you choose and create your own favourable circumstances). And you look at every failure as a lesson and embrace it with joy.

How to get out of the victim state? You need to change your thought process, or the way you ask questions:  Psychological issues in poker I also recommend watching the Brilliant video: how to get better at poker the fastest.

I wish everyone decisive decisions.
