December results are poor, but expectations are high.

food

Hello, so to start, as always, a section from local life, and then about poker. Since I've been here for quite a while, about 3 months (when watching porn starts showing you ads in the local language, you can understand that you've been here for a long time), I don't really know what to show you anymore because everything seems like everyday life to me. If you stop on the road to let a monkey or a bull pass and you're not surprised, or if there's a traffic jam because someone is riding an elephant and that doesn't surprise you anymore, you feel like you've been here for a long time. Or a policeman stops you for driving without a license and says, “Hey, you've been here for a long time, maybe it's time to get a local license.” So probably the thing I haven't talked much about is the local food, which is one of the bigger pluses of this country for me. I've found a few good places where you can get fresh tuna, a steak grilled on a barbecue bigger than grandma's schnitzel, or squid + barracuda steaks + shrimp + a beer mug on the seashore for 5 dollars (photo).

And the best thing is that you get such a dish with such a view. And the locals say that seafood is expensive in this city (I told one how much it costs in Europe, I thought the person would choke).

paradise

So, to sum it all up, grinding here is an unreal place, the price-quality ratio is ideal. It's just that everything here is a bit different than in the “real world,” it's hard to explain, but those who come here understand what I mean 😀 So, as I mentioned, if something is interesting – ask, because I can't think of what to say anymore, and I don't want to repeat myself too much, because it won't be as interesting for you to follow 😉 p.s. grinding micro stakes here you can really afford to live 🙂

And now about poker, so far December hasn't been generous with results, but quite a bit of money (compared to my challenge avg BI) went into the micro series, where I played about 20 tournaments and cashed in only 2, and I played both mains, the super high roller (sounds very funny when the tour is 50e :D) and all the others in a row, so it ate up some money. However, for the rest of December, I am determined to grind hard and even optimistically think that if I can maintain the planned volume until January 15, I should collect the remaining 4k euros 🙂 . Since I am a Grinch myself, Christmas and Christmas Eve won't be a big obstacle to grinding (I even grinded last Christmas Eve). By the way, I have a big problem again with distractions during the session, as I started browsing the internet, checking Facebook, chatting during the session, which really doesn't help with concentration, but I have found an ideal weapon to fight this and recommend it to everyone who has such a problem, and that weapon is the Cold Turkey app, for those who don't know, it allows you to block certain websites (if you pay a bit, you can also block programs) and you can't turn it off with ctrl+alt+del, nor by restarting the computer, it's a really good thing when you lack willpower.
