The battle between these two poker stars will begin on November 1st, and here are the key details:
- Stakes: $200/$400, 100bb with auto top-up;
- 25 thousand hands; the loser can withdraw after 12.5 thousand hands;
- If both agree, the stakes can be raised in the second half of the challenge;
- Minimum 2-hour session.
Polk commented that playing only 2 hours a day, the challenge could last over 100 days, so Negreanu agreed to the idea of increasing the playing time, possibly to 4-5 days and 20 hours per week. Additionally, Polk will be able to make decisions regarding the use of schedules, ranges, and notes.
3 or 4 of those things are new developments (including hearing back on date) and we still haven't figured out where we are playing.
I'm good with commentary from Kane, streaming with webcam on delay, and 2 hour sessions. But I think we gotta do at least 2 sessions a day. https://t.co/G82hGbWiOL

Both Negreanu and Polk will play from their homes, the challenge will be broadcast with a 2-hour delay, and the commentator chosen is Kane Kalas. It has not yet been confirmed exactly which poker room the challenge will take place in, but it is already clear that it will definitely not be in the GGPoker network rooms.
Before the challenge begins, Polk is considered a significant favorite. The odds of him winning are just 1.16, while for Negreanu's victory, you can get odds of 5.6.
It is worth mentioning that Doug Polk is training intensively for this tournament and it is very often possible to see “Doug Polk Challenge” tables in the Americas Cardroom room.
We recommend trying poker in these rooms:
