Australian Open 2021 starts on 8 February!

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic Tennis has become one of the most decadent sports. The number of tournaments has been particularly reduced, forcing athletes to rest and fans to simply wait for the tennis tournaments to resume.

As you know, all tennis fans look forward to the start of the year when the Australian Open Grand Slam. Normally it starts in early January, but this year the situation was much more complicated. The start of the tournament has been postponed to 8 February., but after a long wait it has finally started, and even with the audience!

In this tournament the first Lithuanian racket - Ričardas Berankis (ATP-72). In the first round, the Lithuanian will face Sumit Nagal (ATP-139) of India, who was easily defeated recently. Their duel will take place 9 February morning, 05:30 Lithuanian time.

The organisers of this tournament had to work really hard to make sure that everything went safely and as planned. In the name of, as many as 47 players have to be isolated for 14 days in a hotel in Melbourne. For Richard Beranek, the procedure went a little more smoothly, with just 48 hours of isolation.

As already mentioned, this year's The Australian Open will be held with spectators, albeit a limited number of them. It's great to see spectators returning to the arenas.
