$1M GTD XL Spring Series in the 888Poker room starts on May 30!

Although spring is already coming to an end, 888Poker has decided to host a series called $1M GTD XL Spring Series. It will start on May 30 and continue until June 6. Players will be paid at least $1,000,000 across 25 different tournaments.

To ensure their tournament series does not clash with those organized by major competitors, 888Poker announced that the XL Spring Series will start unusually late, on May 30. The series will run for a total of 8 days and, although it will be similar to the XL Winter Series, players will encounter some different features:

  • The Main Event will be a regular MTT tournament without progressive knockouts, and players will be able to make 3 re-entries instead of 4;
  • on average, the tournaments will have a $21,000 guaranteed prize pool, which is 25% more than the winter festival;
  • although the tournaments will have larger prize pools, there will be fewer of them (25 instead of 34).

It is also worth highlighting the main series tournaments:

  • May 30: XL Spring $50,000 GTD Opening Event with a $55 buy-in;
  • June 1: XL Spring $50,000 GTD High Roller with a $320 buy-in;
  • June 3: XL Spring $40,000 GTD PKO 8-Max with a $160 buy-in;
  • June 6: XL Spring $500,000 GTD Main Event with a $250 buy-in.

Players will also be able to enter the main series tournament through satellites, which will start soon, and 888Poker cash game players will have a chance to win tickets to various series tournaments through random Gift Drop bonuses.
