The biggest success so far has been Vladas Burneikis, who in early August became the first Lithuanian to win a gold bracelet and a WSOP champion. He won the WSOP #49 $500 DeepStack Turbo tournament with an impressive $200K prize money.
Meanwhile Arūnas Sapitavičius narrowly missed out on the title. In the WSOP #41 $400 Colossus, the Lithuanian was the chip leader for a long time, but in the final stages of the tournament he was a bit less successful and came 5th. Arūnas won 5th place $156 thousand prize. In total, more than 12,000 players took part in the tournament.
The following week was no worse for Lithuanians. Seven players managed to win a total of over $500k. Three Lithuanians - Evaldas Aniulis, Lukas Parednis and Dominykas Mikolaitis - made it to the WSOP #56 $1500 GGMaster WSOP Edition High Roller final. Although none of them managed to finish in first place, the these players have accumulated a total of over $270k.
Four other Lithuanians - Tautvydas Jokubauskas, Aneris Admokevičius, Vince Tamašauskas and Vladas Tamašauskas - also managed to make it to the final tables. In total, they have won over $300k.
Meanwhile Tomas Jozonis in the WSOP #60 $525 Bounty NLHE 6-Handed tournament on August 13 among 3170 participants managed to rank 3rd place. This earned him a prize money of $61 410.
