The Psychology of Poker Part I

Poker Psychology Package - Part I.

Psychological strategy - One of the most important things you can do to be a successful poker player is to have a good psychological strategy. This video explains in more detail what a psychological strategy is, how to create one, how to react to setbacks and how to improve your overall psychological preparation. Most poker players misunderstand and underestimate the importance of psychology in poker, thinking that all they need to do is read a good book and they will no longer have psychological problems and will always be able to play well. But psychology needs to be worked on in the same way as we work on our body, our muscles. If you decide that you want to run a marathon, it is not enough to read a book and it is not enough to go for a run twice, it is a consistent and systematic process of working on how you strengthen your muscles little by little, how you lengthen the distances little by little and how you build up your stamina, and it is the same consistent process with the psychology of poker, you have to work slowly and build up your psychological muscle.

Tilt: what is a "tilt" and what is the main mistake most players make.

The A-Game: What it is, how to avoid escaping from problems, and how to work on them to get back to your A-game faster.
