Our students: a Zeniok30 member who might quit his job for the MTT camp

"PokerSchool.com", as the name suggests, aims to help players with a love of poker to improve. So it's no wonder that the greatest reward for all teachers is good results for their students.

We strive for good results and are happy when our students are satisfied, proud of their development and results.

We decided to talk to a student who has had some great successes in the recent past about them and the training itself (read more about them Forum).

"My name is Evgeny, online I play poker under the nickname "Zeniok30". I started playing poker in my spare time quite a long time ago," he says. - We used to play live tournaments on weekend evenings with friends. One evening a friend of ours boasted that he had won online poker 1600$. Then I found out that online poker existed. I tried it too. I made my first deposits and, of course, lost everything. For about 3 years I played sometimes on weekends, for fun, and I was always in the red."

However, nobody wants to play negatively, without winning anything, so something had to change. That's how Evgeny was introduced to poker training.

"I once came across a beginner's poker course online - 45 lessons, starting with probability theory and so on. I listened to all the lessons. It gave me a slightly different perception of the game. Accidentally or not, I won my first online 2.2$ tournament on PokerStars.eu for a win of 1200$. It felt good, I knew it could be done. I started to play more often, but of course I was playing on the negative side again, I had a couple of small deepbut I felt I was doing something wrong. I used nucrackint HM2 (HoldEm Manager), but I didn't find those calculators very helpful. I was basically playing MTTs, SNGs, but sometimes I'd throw in some Cash games," that was his start. Well, we'll talk more about all that.

- How did you find the Poker School? How did you decide to become an active member? - we asked our student.
- I knew there were poker coaches and schools around the world. I kept wondering why Lithuanians didn't come up with something similar and, to my surprise, I saw public analyses in Lithuanian on YouTube. When I found out that there was such a school, I started looking into what was going on there and how. At that time, it was possible to buy a membership and learn on your own, or a learning package with personalised lessons by discipline. I was interested in the training offered by Peledazmogis, but the price was such that I needed my family's approval. This caused some hesitation, but the x hour arrived and the law on online gambling changed in Lithuania. I thought, if gambling is going to be banned, why spend money on training? I decided to write a personal message to one of the founders of the poker school - "Brilijant". He explained everything to me in such detail - how to change the DNS settings on my computer, what the law means, and that online Poker is definitely not dying. I started asking him about a project he was developing, and he advised me that if I only play in my spare time and wanted to start plusI'm sure it's enough to buy a school membership and study on my own, and then I can take private lessons if I want. So the openness and sincerity of Brilliant has only encouraged me to become an active member of the school! 🙂

- What part of your life does poker play now? Is it just a lucrative hobby or is it something you do more seriously?
- Poker has been taking up more and more space in my life lately. After some results and profits came in, I started to manage a bank. bankroll management). As I do frequent sessions, I have also acquired comfortable working tools: a computer, a second monitor and a comfortable chair. So, things are getting more serious. At the end of the year, after taking stock of my achievements, I will take perhaps one of the most important steps in my life, in terms of my main source of income...

- How has your development been? After how long have you been a member, how much of a qualitative leap have you made?
- When I joined the school, I didn't know what to do, there was a lot of information. The school advised me to start by deciding on the discipline in which I wanted to excel. Since I only played in my spare time, I kept mixing MTT, SNG and Cash. That was the hardest part: SNG is dying, Cash is time-sensitive, but MTT was always close to my heart, so I chose the latter. Once I chose MTT, I started watching all the videos dedicated to this format. My perception of the game was starting to change, but I hadn't yet seen any tangible results... Then an innovation came along at school - live Lessons - where coaches analysed tournaments for free for students who uploaded them. I was lucky too - when I uploaded the HH (hand history) of a tournament, the coach analysed it during the lesson and it opened my eyes to everything I was doing wrong. Then I started to learn consistently, taking one technical element and improving it. I started to write down the most important things by watching the video. I started doing exercises before the sessions, as the coaches advised: watch the most interesting video, read the notes. And voila, one fine morning I win a 2.2$ tournament and add 1200$ to my account. It's been a long road to this win, I was a member of the school for 5 months. Despite this period of time, I worked hard and did not give up. Then my confidence started to grow and from then on my game curve only started to rise.

- How to overcome bad beat'us?
- Bad beat in poker is perhaps the cruellest thing. At the beginning, it really threw me off. I didn't even know how to deal with it, and the coaches' words that you have to accept it - the distance will put everything in its place - sounded like something mystical. What the hell! Nothing was falling into place for me! And then Brilliant came to my rescue again with his psychological articles and videos that I found on Poker School. I read it all carefully, reviewed it all video. Keli video I liked it so much that I even showed it to my wife! We watched it together and even started using the tips in our daily lives. That video where they tell you to clap your hands when something unpleasant happens - REAL!!! When my wife walks around the apartment and she hears me at compo or on the balcony (during a tournament break), I clap my hands and shout "I'm OK", and they come and comfort me. We laugh together and I sit back down at the tables, already forgetting that a few moments ago the final table, which seemed to be within reach, had sailed away. Now I sometimes look at it with a smile. When I open river'iui killer'iuiI smile, tell myself "it couldn't have been any other way", close the window of the end of the round and immediately forget everything, because I know I played correctly, I predicted it exactly range (and from that I am looking for.

- Most professionals stress the importance of adequate rest and having a leisure activity to help take your mind off things. What would that be for you?
- As I'm not a poker pro, I don't feel the need to take a break from poker yet. I am just counting down the days and minutes until my scheduled session. In my other spare time, I like to fish (now I have less time for that thanks to poker), and before my knee injury, I used to get physical in football training (I've been playing football since school). I am also interested in the world of sports, and my family and I go for walks in nature all the time.

- What are your future goals in poker?
- When I bought my school membership, I planned for it to be a lucrative hobby that would allow me to add a few euros to my salary. At the moment, I'm playing probably my best game. I want to maintain that level and only increase it. When I analyse my game, I still find a lot of mistakes. I wonder - if I find so many, how many would the coach find! I don't set big goals, I don't dream of winning huge sums. I will do everything in small steps, I will learn patiently, I will be active in school, I have 3 private lessons with the coach which I plan to use in the near future (I am already coordinating with the coach), and then I know for sure (I know for sure now) that I will get even better results. Of course, the most important goal for today would be to go up the limits.

- What content would you like to see more of in the Poker School? What should we work on more?
- PokerSchool.com has very good content, the school is still improving, and there have been a lot of innovations since the start of our membership: live lessons, general conversations, new strong coaches, etc. I heard something that an MTT camp might be organised. If that happens, it would be a dream come true. At that time, if I couldn't combine my holidays with my main job, I would probably quit my job just to be able to take part. To sum up, I am very happy to be a member of the school. I would like to encourage those who are hesitant not to hesitate, those who are undecided to make up their minds, and those who are procrastinating not to procrastinate! With Pokeriomokykla.com everything is possible and dreams come true! Good luck at the tables!
