Matas Cimbolas wins $600K at the 2020 WPT LA Poker Classic!

On May 17, another postponed World Poker Tour final table was played. The 2020 WPT LA Poker Classic started back in March 2020but its climax was postponed due to a pandemic. The final table of this tournament included Lithuanian Matas Cimbolas, and the entire final table was live streamed Pokeriomokyklacom Twitch channel.

2020 WPT LAPC the winner is Balakrishna Patur, who beat 490 competitors and went on to defeat Matt Cimbola, James Carroll, Upeshka De Silva, Ka Kwan Lau and Scott Hempel in the final table. Winner made $1 million and a ticket to the season-ending Tournament of Champions.

Patur came into the final table with the largest chip stack (6.3M), followed by Mat Cimbolas (4.3M) and James Carroll (4.1M). Total 188 hands were played on the final tableand the heads-up between Patur and Cimbolo lasted 29 hands.

One of the most exciting moments of the final table came on hand 93, when Ka Kawn Lau with A-J lost to Matt Cymbol with Queen-seven and was eliminated from the tournament. After this hand, the Lithuanian was almost caught up with chip leader Patur, but he was unable to prove his heads-up advantage and had to settle for an impressive second place and the $600K cash prize.
