Hossein Ensan wins the 2019 WSOP Main Event

The German EPT Prague winner is the new world champion and has become 10$ million richer after defeating all his opponents in the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.

Germany's Hossein Ensan was the favourite to make the final table of the WSOP Main Event. His excellent poker CV and a huge stack of chips made him a shoo-in.
The favourite lived up to his label when he became the 2019 WSOP Main Event champion early Wednesday morning. The EPT Prague champion defeated an Italian in the final duel Dario Sammartino and thus collecting as much as $10 million in prize money. In the last hand, Ensan's kings stood up to a queen and a flush purchase.

He followed in the footsteps of Pius Heinz and became the second German to win a WSOP Main Event.

"This is the best event of my life," 55-year-old Hossein said after his victory. "Unbelievable! I'm very happy with this bracelet in my hand. What more can I say?"

It was a huge WSOP event, with 8,659 entries, and the second biggest tournament ever after Jamie Gold's 2006 championship. It was also the second largest first-place prize and the largest number of players to register for Day 1C (4,877).

This $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event about 30 Lithuanians also took part. 17 of them made it to the second day, and 11 of them managed to make it through. This day was a fateful day for many Lithuanians, as only two of them made it to the money when the bubble burst at the end of the third day. Gediminas Garmus andDaiva Byrne.
