Fnatic Rising
Fnatic Rising is the second LoL e-sports team in the Fnatic organisation. This team includes MagiFelix (Mid-lane), who has already played in the strongest European league. The other players in the starting line-up, although young, also have a high level of experience and a high level of individual skill, which could one day help them to make it to the main squad.
There was a lot of speculation that Ronaldooo (Support) and Shikari (Top) would leave the team this season, but that hasn't happened. The team's leader continues to be MagiFelix, a long-time member of the Fnatic organisation, and the team itself is focused on an aggressive and team-based style of play. For the most part, Fnatic Rising uses "playbook" line-ups, which give more freedom to players to make decisions.
In this season of the EU Masters, Fnatic Rising has been placed in a group with one of the tournament favourites, mousesports. Interestingly, both teams are currently in a group of 3 teams with 2 wins and 1 loss, so every win is worth its weight in gold. If the second place instead of the first place in the standings were to advance to the next round, Schalke Evolution 04, which is considered to be the clear favourite in the tournament, would be in the playoffs.
Mousesports
Mousesports is one of Germany's top LoL teams competing in the Prime League. Last season, they shared 3-4th place with Fnatic Rising in the EU Masters, and will be looking to do the same or better this year. Unlike Fnatic Rising, where the organisation's talent is nurtured, Mousesports is more focused on acquiring good players. League of Legends, an organisation that has made a name for itself in other e-sports, does not yet have a strong track record, so all efforts are focused on getting faster and better results while trying to strengthen the roster.
In the off-season, the squad has added three former players from Europe's strongest LoL league - L1DER (Mid-lane), Jeskla (Adc) and promisq (Support), who went to the World Cup finals with G2 last season. Looking at the squad and the players we managed to attract, it would seem that. Mousesports should be the clear favourites for this tournament. However, at least for the time being, this is not the case.
Despite winning 2 out of 3 games, the team's play is completely disjointed, and the individually strong players seem to have no connection with each other at all. The impression is that everyone is playing their own game and not paying attention to the success of the team, from the choice of champions to in-game communication. Correcting these elements would be a success, but it is difficult to say whether this will be the case in this tournament.
H2H
These teams have already played each other, with Fnatic Rising coming out victorious after a hard-fought battle.
Forecast
Two strong teams with different styles of play will meet. Where mousesports relies on individual skill and loose play, Fnatic Rising doesn't have the same level of individual skill, but plays with more teamwork and confidence. With the importance of this match, the advantage will go to the team that is better coordinated and makes better decisions at key moments in the match. Fnatic Rising has proven to be that team, and in this match, with the odds even, they are the ones to watch.
