The team is currently 6th in the league with 31 points. Due to the poor performances, Pochettino, who has been coaching the team for a long time, had to be sacked and replaced by Mourinho, who does not seem to be the elite coach he was a few years ago. As for Liverpool, their play this season is simply fabulous. The team is leading the league with 58 points and has not lost yet this season.
Tottenham
Tottenham are not playing well at the moment. One draw and two defeats in their last three games. In the cup, they didn't even manage to win against Middlesbrough in the lower division. Most of Tottenham's points this season have come against weaker teams. Playing against the elite teams is the most common way to lose. 0-2 against Chelsea, 2-1 against Man Utd, 2-1 against Liverpool and 3-1 and 2-7 against Bayern. It is also worth adding that Davies, Lloris, Ndombele, Rose and Sissoko will not be available for this game, so the losses are really big.
Liverpool
There's not much to expand on about Liverpool. The team has been winning against everyone this season. They could probably be called the best football team in the world right now. Sane, Salah and Arnold are showing the best of their game and it is hard to imagine that anyone could stop them. Even in the cup, against a core Everton side, the youth of the team managed to win. As a result, the key players have had a lot of rest and will be fully prepared for this match. The H2H of the teams is also in Liverpool's favour, who have won 4 games in a row against Tottenham. Liverpool won't have Fabinho, Keita, Milner, and the unknowns of Lovren, Matip and Shaqiri in this match, but one way or another the losses are certainly smaller than in Tottenham's camp.
