Online poker recovery in the US

USA "Black Friday" was probably the event that had the biggest impact on the online poker market. The banning of online poker in all American states has driven many recreational and regular players out of the economy. This blow is particularly painful for the poker economy because of the wealth of the average US citizen, which allows more money to be spent on recreation.

It's been more than 8 years since Black Friday. It usually takes a very long time for the legal system to change in any direction, but fortunately for online poker players, it is changing in a positive direction.

A few months ago, online poker was legalised in Pennsylvania. With some exceptions, however. At least for the time being, online poker can only be played inside the state of Pennsylvania. Rooms such as PokerStars have already developed their own software for citizens of the state.

According to Online Poker Report, a final hearing will be held in the coming week "Michigan Online Gambling Agreement", which would allow almost all forms of online gambling in Michigan, including online poker. The reports do not elaborate on whether or not residents of the state will be able to play with poker players from all over the world.

Michigan would join four others that have already legalised online poker. Unfortunately, the other four restrict access to rooms for the time being, but Michigan's case may set a precedent for other states and laws.
