The end of the Holdem Manager 2 era
As we have already mentioned, Holdem Manager 2 was released on 2 November 2011 and has been helping poker players for over 9 years. Back then, 16 October 2019 Max Value Software has released the third version of Holdem Manager 3.

While poker players have been free to choose which version of the software to use until now, support for HM2 will be discontinued in a few months' time on 31 December. While players will still be able to join the programme, the quality of service provided by HM2 will be severely affected when poker rooms release updates.
What should HM2 users do?

HM3 is the most powerful and highest quality version of Holdem Manager contributed by poker players themselves. The HM Apps feature allows third-party developers to integrate additional features and tools to further enhance the functionality of HM3.

One of the main differences between HM2 and HM3 is that when you buy a Holdem Manager 3 licence you will only receive technical support and updates for a year. After that, you will need to sign up for an annual subscription, which can cost between $25 and $58, depending on the features selected. Those undecided about whether to buy HM3 can free trial for 14 days.
