The “PokerioMokykla.com” and “Olympic Casino” organized “Knock-out” tournament festival continues. This time, the “Mad Money” game was played, during which a player received a €100 bonus for knocking out an opponent.
A total of 83 buy-ins of €165 each were collected, 22 of which were re-entries.
The game started quickly, as the first player was eliminated after the first few hands.
The number of players rapidly decreased, and by the second break, half of the players (~40) remained. At that time, Aurelijus Budrys was leading in bonuses, having collected 7 “heads.”
The previous day's winner, Gytis Bernatavičius, stood out by knocking out three players in a single hand and receiving a €300 bonus.
Upon reaching the final table, the blinds were 2,000 / 4,000 / 400, and players had an average of 140,000 chips. The player with the most chips was Liutauras Armanavičius (300,000).
Then, as usual, the game slowed down, and no participant was quickly eliminated. However, during the bubble phase, Andrius Baublys left the game, having gone all-in before the flop against A. Budrys. The blinds were 4,000 and 8,000, and Andrius with AA lost to Aurelijus's AK when it turned out that Aurelijus had made a straight.
At this level, three more players finished their game one after another.
With 4 players remaining, Liutauras and Gytis Bernatavičius had the most chips. The situation quickly changed with blinds at 8,000 and 16,000. At that time, Liutauras lost 400,000, deciding to call Aurelijus's K9 with AQ. A 9 came out, allowing the latter participant to double up.
Liutauras lost his remaining chips when his KJ lost to Erikas Pakalniškis‘s pocket aces.
Next to fall was A. Budrys (8 “knock-outs”), who called Gytis's all-in with A7 against QQ. The community cards did not change the outcome.
Finally, in the “heads up” with blinds at 10,000 / 20,000, G. Bernatavičius faced E. Pakalniškis – 800,000 against 400,000 chips. The battle lasted about an hour, with blinds reaching 15,000 / 30,000. Ultimately, G. Bernatavičius decided to go all-in with TT, but Erikas's A9 did not hold up even after the community cards were dealt.
This was Gytis's second consecutive victory; he also triumphed after a tough battle the previous day. This time, he added 11 knocked-out players (1,100€) to his first-place win.
A total of €12,450 was paid out to players, of which €8,300 was for knocking out other players.
