The longest break in WSOP (a full 26 months) history is coming to an end. Until now, it was only possible to speculate when this year's WSOP would take place and whether it would happen at all, but Executive Director Ty Stewart reassured players and announced that Rio Casino in Las Vegas will host WSOP 2021. The series will start on September 30 and run until November 23.
A total of 88 gold bracelet tournaments will be held with buy-ins ranging from $400 to $250,000:
- 51 Hold'em bracelets;
- 13 bracelets for mixed games (Dealer's Choice; 8-Game, H.O.R.S.E, etc.);
- 13 Omaha bracelets;
- 6 Stud bracelets;
- 5 Draw bracelets.
Registration for these tournaments will begin in August on the Bravo Poker Live app and in Las Vegas. Additionally, satellites will be played on WSOP.com and GGPoker rooms, giving many players a chance to enter the main tournaments.
This year's series will feature 8 new tournaments, the largest of which will be The Reunion with a $500 buy-in and a $5M prize pool on October 1. Of course, player-favorite tournaments like Colossus, Millionaire Maker, and the $10K buy-in Main Event starting on November 4 will also return.
