Lithuanian wins in the WSOP Main Event

The WSOP Main Event has concluded, attracting 7,874 players and a prize pool of $74 million. This incredible number of players included thirteen Lithuanians - Daiva Byrne, Paulius Plausinaitis, Dominykas Mikolaitis, Arūnas Sapitavičius, Aleksandras Rusinovas, Kristupas Bertulis, Matas Čikinas, Laurynas Levinskas, Vytautas Semaska, Vytautas Laurinaitis, Mantas Bagočius, Artūras Astrauskas and Matas Cimbolas.

The highest finish of 79th place went to Laurynas Levinskas, who won $91,610.

In his last hand, Laurynas faced a challenge from an opponent when the table opened 5♠6♣2♦K♠ and Laurynas bet 970,000. The opponent thought for a bit longer and called. On the last card, Q♥, Laurynas wasted no time in pushing all of his 3.3 million chips. The player thought for a minute and called with A♣J♣. Unfortunately, the Lithuanian tried to trick his opponent with only 8♦7♦.

Two more Lithuanians, Mantas Bagočius and Matas Čikinas, reached Day 6 of the WSOP Main Event.

Mantas Čikinas finished in 116th place for a prize of $57,010 when his AK failed to hold up against Q-Q.

Bagočius added $49,335 to his account after finishing 163rd.

Artūras Astrauskas finished in 422nd place on Day 4, earning $29,625.
