Lithuania’s achievements in the WSOP Main Event

The WSOP main event has concluded, attracting 7,874 players and a prize pool of 74 million USD. Among this incredible number of players were thirteen Lithuanians: Daiva Byrne, Paulius Plausinaitis, Dominykas Mikolaitis, Arūnas Sapitavičius, Aleksandras Rusinovas, Kristupas Bertulis, Matas Čikinas, Laurynas Levinskas, Vytautas Semaška, Vytautas Laurinaitis, Mantas Bagočius, Artūras Astrauskas, and Matas Cimbolas.

Laurynas Levinskas managed to secure the highest position among them, finishing in 79th place and winning 91,610 USD.

In his final hand, Laurynas faced a challenge from his opponent when the board showed 5♠6♣2♦K♠. Laurynas bet 970,000. After some thought, his opponent called. When the final card, Q♥, was revealed, Laurynas immediately went all-in with his remaining 3.3 million chips. His opponent, after a moment of consideration, called with A♣J♣. Unfortunately, the Lithuanian tried to bluff his opponent with only 8♦7♦.

Two other Lithuanians, Mantas Bagočius and Matas Čikinas, reached the 6th day of the WSOP main event.

Mantas Čikinas finished in 116th place and won a prize of 57,010 USD when his AK couldn't hold up against QQ.

M. Bagočius added 49,335 USD to his account by finishing in 163rd place.

Artūras Astrauskas was eliminated on the 4th day, finishing in 422nd place and winning 29,625 USD.
