Americas Cardroom adds $120,000 to the “Step” tournaments every month to increase your chances of winning a ticket. The very first “Step 1” tournament is not only free but also takes place six times a day at 05:00, 09:00, 13:00, 17:00, 21:00, and 01:00 Lithuanian time. Here's how these “Step” tournaments work:
- Step 1 (six daily tournaments with a $0 buy-in) – play for 113 buy-ins to Step 2
- Step 2 ($6.61 buy-in) – play for 25 Step 3 spots (odds 1 in 2.75)
- Step 3 ($16.51 buy-in) – play for 15 Step 4 spots (odds 1 in 3.6)
- Step 4 ($55.01 buy-in) – play for 6 Step 5 spots (odds 1 in 3.9)
- Step 5 ($215.01 buy-in) – play for 5 Step 6 spots (odds 1 in 3.15)
- Step 6 ($630.01 buy-in) – play for 1 Venom spot in the main tournament (odds 1 in 4.41)
If you get knocked out in the “Step 1” tournament, nothing stops you from starting over. Of course, you can speed up the process and buy into a later “Step” tournament with a higher buy-in.
