Former NFL star Adrian Peterson got involved in a fierce poker brawl

In a video obtained by TMZ, former NFL running back Adrian Peterson is seen getting into a fistfight during a poker game on May 27. Based on the video, it appears that both individuals were intoxicated.

Poker Brawl

Peterson, nicknamed “All Day,” has recently been involved in several incidents due to drunk driving. The man, who was once a star for the Minnesota Vikings, was stopped and charged with a misdemeanor known as fourth-degree drunk driving.

In December 2024, Peterson joined the fun at Hustler Casino Live. He played against a person named “JokerStars” in a poker room in Houston, Texas. He was played several times but also landed some strong punches on an unknown person.

At the beginning of the video, an employee tried to stop the fight between Peterson and another player. The opponent and Peterson continued exchanging blows, eventually facing off head-to-head.

The Vikings legend unleashed a flurry of punches, forcing his opponent against the wall and continuing to hit him with blows.

Reconciliation After the Incident

According to what Peterson told TMZ, he and the other player got into a fight at the poker table and “one thing led to another.” The former star, a Sooners runner, informed the media that he and the other party resolved their disagreements and that alcohol played a significant role.

“We're all good,” said Peterson. “We've been friends for a while. We felt a brotherly connection. We discussed everything, shared thoughts, and had a little scuffle, and that was the end of it.”

Neither player was banned from “JokerStars,” and the police were not called to the poker room after the incident.

Legendary Career and Challenges Off the Field

Peterson had an impressive 15-year career in the NFL, nearly reaching the 15,000 rushing yards mark. While playing in Oklahoma, he ran for over 4,000 yards and in 2004, as a freshman, finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting behind USC's Matt Leinart.

However, off the field, his past is quite complicated. Recently, he was arrested for drunk driving, and in 2014, he was also charged with child abuse, which led to the NFL star being banned from playing in the second half of the season. Since retiring from the NFL in 2021, the legendary player has been a regular at the poker table, especially in Texas.
