Bad Beat Jackpot record

This case might be the only one where unfortunate circumstances turn out to be lucky. A record $2.5 million “Bad Beat Jackpot” was shared among 46 players at the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec.

The “Loto-Quรฉbec” casino, where a $1/3 no-limit hold'em game was played, paid out one of the largest “Bad Beat Jackpot” winnings in history. It is also the second-largest “Bad Beat Jackpot” prize in poker history.

Interestingly, both of the largest occurred in Canada. The bad beat jackpot was won when a straight flush on the river beat quad 10s; a payout of 2.6 million Canadian dollars (or 1.87 million USD).
